LOOKING FORWARD IN TIME (Aug 2016)
These “afterwards pics” were taken the same year I did my River Run. The dra-
matic and often unbelievable changes in the Mississippi Creek I experienced to the
Mississippi River or Swamp that came after me all were results of how different
seasons and appearances the river takes on through out the year.
A person kayaking in the summer would have no landmarks or bearings to the de-
scriptions I am giving except pics like this show a tree in both that is obviously
quite different in view from the River.
Where I had open shallow waters to walk in, wide and clear. This picture tells a
different story. With the wild rice and grasses growing and bending underwater, as
well as the narrowing banks of green tall growth hiding the views.
Two people going down the river at different times are going to have a different
perspective and challenges on the River.
