When at the cross the Saviour made me whole; 246 We thank Thee
My sins were washed away Verse 1
We thank Thee, Lord, for this fair earth,
And my night was turned today The glittering sky, the silver sea;
Heaven came down and glory filled my soul. For all their beauty, all their worth,
3/3 Their light and glory, come from Thee. 1/4

245 Through all the changing Verse 2
scenes of life Thanks for the flowers that clothe the ground,
Verse 1 The trees that wave their arms above,
Through all the changing scenes of life, The hills that gird our dwellings round,
In trouble and in joy, As Thou dost gird Thine own with love. 2/4
The praises of my God shall still
My heart and tongue employ. 1/6 Verse 3
Yet teach us still how far more fair,
Verse 2 More glorious, Father, in Thy sight,
Of his deliverance I will boast, Is one pure deed, one holy prayer,
Till all that are distressed One heart that owns Thy Spirit's might. 3/4
From my example comfort take,
And charm their griefs to rest. 2/6 Verse 4
So, while we gaze with thoughtful eye
Verse 3 On all the gifts Thy love has given,
O magnify the lord with me, Help us in Thee to live and die,
With me exalt his name; By Thee to rise from earth to heaven. Amen.
When in distress to him I called, 4/4
He to my rescue came. 3/6 HOME
