Congratulations Daisy Award recipient Kaitlin Yeager, RN
Adventist Health Castle is proud to be among the nation’s hospitals that participate in The DAISY Award Program. The award is part of the DAISY Foundation's program to recognize the super-human efforts nurses perform every day.
Kaitlin Yeager, RN, Infusion Therapy, was honored with the Daisy Award August 28, 2019, for the exceptional care she gives
all of her patients. Kaitlin makes it a point to check in with her more medically fragile patients when they return home, which her patients especially appreciate. Her patients say that it is evident that she cares about them.
Kaitlin’s direct manager says she has
taken the leadership role in developing
the in-house Chemotherapy program on
her own initiative. Working with Pu¯lama nurse manager Liberty Kaahanui, Kaitlin is developing the policy and procedures for the safe-handing and administration of chemo medications when patients are admitted to the hospital. The Infusion Therapy Center does not have on call nurses, but Kaitlin uncomplainingly continues to take calls on
Wellness holds open house
Wellness and Lifestyle Medicine welcomed Adventist Health Castle associates to a “Wellness Pa‘ina” on September 4. Pa‘ina is the Hawaiian word for feast or party. The event was held in the Wellness Auditorium in the Weinberg Medical Plaza and offered in- formation on wellness programs, door prizes and refreshment.
