Gallup associate survey shows high associate engagement
By Todd Reese
Director of Human Performance
Just a few short weeks ago, ninety-
five percent of Adventist Health Castle associates participated in the Gallup associate engagement survey. The annual survey gives us a chance to check in
with you to see how we’re doing as an organization. This year, we once again have solid results!
Good news for us
Castle is one of the most engaged markets in Adventist Health. Our overall engagement is ranked at the 88th percentile compared to other hospitals across the nation. This
is good news because it confirms what
we already know: Castle associates are engaged in their work and using their talents; know the scope of their job; and are always looking a new and different ways of achieving the best results.
Good news for those we serve
This is also good news for patients because engaged associates matter a lot quality patient care. Studies have shown that having engaged associates lead to an 87 percent decrease in infection rates, lower patient mortality and complication indices, and more associates willing to recommend the hospital to their family and friends.
What happens now?
The results are back, and you can expect to hear specific details about them for your area from your leaders. They’ll be sharing the results in department meetings and your teams will be developing plans of action for 2020. The development and implementation of the action plans is an empowering process, which gives our associates the opportunity to direct the work their areas focus on.
Mahalo! We want to thank you for participating in the survey and thank you
in advance for the improvements your participation will help us make over the next year that will help us continue to fulfill our mission.
