be given to the carer to purchase their own food, in order to accommodate wherever possible, the carer’s religious or cultural preferences and the need to ensure the carer receives a balanced diet.
6.2 All snacks, toiletries and luxury items (for example fizzy drinks) will be provided by the carer from their own money.
6.3 Any food provided by the client must be varied and meet the Food Standards Agency FSA Nutrient and Food Bases Guidelines.
7. Accommodation
7.1 All carers should have their own room, that is comfortably furnished with a bed, bedside table, wardrobe/chest of drawers, mirror, and they must have access to Wi-Fi for communication to the company and family.
7.2 Bedding and towels need to be provided.
7.3 Carer’s rooms are their exclusive and private area.
7.4 Carer’s must have access to toilet and washing facilities. 8. Breakages, Loss or Damage caused by Carers
8.1 We strongly advise that the client ensure the telephone bill is itemised and that this is checked prior to the carer leaving the assignment. Ranger Home Care will then collect any unpaid calls from the carer’s last pay. Notice of any billable calls must be provided within 1 month in writing.
8.2 Ranger home Care would advise that Accidental Damage Cover should be added to the client’s home contents insurance cover, and that the insurers are made aware that carers are resident in the home.
9 Fees
9.1 Ranger Home Care’s fees for the provision of service by way of a live-in Carer is £....... per week, plus Bank Holidays. This amount will be paid monthly in advance either by standing order or a cheque.
9.2 Ranger Home Care will charge double the daily rate for all UK bank holidays.
9.3 Any subsequent amendments to Ranger Home Care fees will be notified in writing, to the client. Ranger Home Care reserves the right, it its absolute discretion, if it becomes necessary to do so, to review its charges at more frequent intervals.
9.4 Ranger Home Care will give the Client a minimum of 1 months notice of its intention to review its fees.
9.5 In the event that the pre-booking assessment necessitates a Ranger Home Care representative travelling further than 30 miles from its offices, the client will pay a fee of £50.00 to Ranger Home Care, which is refundable against the first month’s care provision.
