Ukraine's military bonds will back a new cryptocurrency. The ICU financial group, together with EVOL.TECH will issue the UACB cryptocurrency, which is backed by government military bonds. The token will allow investors to invest cryptocurrency in the UACB, which, thanks to the provision of military bonds, has a government guarantee of return. The organizers made the first issue of "crypto bonds" small to test the interest of a new category of investors in public debt and the legal requirements on virtual assets. The UACB is settled in Tether (USDT), a cryptocurrency pegged to the dollar. After the government pays the bonds, the UACB can be exchanged for invested USDT. The UACB buyout is scheduled for November 2022, said ICU Deputy Director Yevhenia Hryshchenko.
Ukrainian IT exports in 2022 have already earned $3.2B. According to the National Bank of Ukraine, in the first five months of 2022, the IT industry brought $3.2B to the Ukrainian economy. According to the IT Ukraine Association, as of June 1, the IT sector transferred to the budget over UAH 29.5B ($1B) in tax payments and fees. Moreover, since the war, exported IT services increased by 6% over the same period in 2021 and amounted to $1.7B. According to the latest IT Ukraine survey, 56% of participating companies expect 5-30% growth in 2022, and 41% of companies expect to keep existing volumes at 50-100%.
The Ukrainian government will give up to UAH 3.5M to IT startups. Within the framework of the eRobota project, the state will provide grant assistance of up to UAH 3.5M ($110,000) for IT startups. It will also pay for a scholarship in the amount of up to UAH 30,000 ($1000) for IT education, announced Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal. The state will provide from UAH 750,000 to UAH 3.5M for startups, and the Ukrainian Startup Fund will administer this program. The main funding criteria are the creation of at least five jobs and an emphasis on developing new technologies and solutions. In addition, the government has launched the Start in IT program, under which one can get a scholarship of up to UAH 30,000 for training and skill development of a junior developer, data analyst, or graphic designer. In total, the state will provide an opportunity for 60,000 Ukrainians to begin a career in IT. The program’s total budget is UAH 1.8B.

Ukraine starts to export electricity to EU on June 30. Ukrainian electricity will be exported through Romania, but later the routes will be expanded by adding Slovakia and Hungary. The total capacity for export is currently 100 megawatts per day, but is expected to grow to 800 megawatts by the end of the year. “It will provide an additional source of electricity for the EU,” said European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. “And much-needed revenues to Ukraine.”
Ukraine has started accumulating gas and coal for the coming heating season. By the beginning of the heating season, Ukraine needs at least 19 billion cubic meters stocked in gas storage facilities and 2 million tons of coal in warehouses, said Prime Minister Denis Shmygal.
