artillery systems on the battlefield. Almost a third of these were taken during the last weeks of the Ukrainian counteroffensive, while the Western partners have provided Ukraine with a total of about 500 pieces of artillery.
2.4 Polls & Sociology
53% of Germans support sanctions against Russia despite sharp increase in energy prices. According to a poll conducted by the German sociological institute Civey, more than half of its respondents support Berlin's sanctions against Moscow even if it meant that they would have to pay more for gas. Another 42% of the respondents admitted that they are not ready to make the sacrifice on a personal level while 5% said they were undecided.
Poll: 87% of Ukrainians against territorial concessions regarding Russia's war. A survey conducted from Sept. 7 to 13 by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology said that no territorial concessions are acceptable for 87% of respondents. This number reportedly increased by 3% since July. Another survey by the ILKO Kucheriv Democratic Initiatives Foundation and the Razumkov Center found that 91% of Ukrainians trust Ukraine’s Armed Forces.
Most Ukrainians want to join EU, NATO. Ninety-two% of Ukrainians would like to see their country in the European Union, while 79% want it to join NATO by 2030, according to a poll conducted by the KIIS and the National Democratic Institute on Aug. 2-9. For reference: In December 2021, 58% of Ukrainians said they wanted to join the EU, and 48% – NATO.
Most Ukrainians don't want to permanently move to US, EU. Asked if they would permanently move to the European Union or the U.S. if they were granted citizenship there without conditions, 91% of Ukrainians said "no," according to a recent poll by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology. In October 2020, 69% said "no."
The majority of Ukrainians support Ukraine's accession to NATO and the EU. Most Ukrainians are in favor of Ukraine's accession to both the North Atlantic Treaty Organization and the European Union. According to the survey from the Rating Group, 86% of respondents support Ukraine's accession to the EU in the event of a referendum on this issue, whereas 3% were against it, and 7% would not vote at all. Support for joining the EU is in the majority among representatives from all macro-regions and age groups. The level of support for joining NATO among Ukrainians is currently the highest ever recorded in polling. It is noted that 83% of respondents would support this initiative in a referendum, 4% would oppose it, and 9% would not vote. In June, only 76% of respondents favoured joining the alliance.
