Commodity Insights cut its forecast for Russian wheat production by 5.6mn tonne to 85mn tonne for MY 2024-25. Similarly, Russia's agricultural consultancy, the Institute of Agricultural Market Studies, lowered its wheat crop forecast to 83.5mn tonne on May 21, down from 86mn tonne estimated on May 13.

For the first time in history, YouTube began blocking opposition content at the request of Roskomnadzor on May 21. So far, the blocking has affected only individual videos of small channels, but this is also a precedent - and the next one to notify the human rights organization “OVD-Info” about the blocking of the 100,000th channel. In all cases, we were talking about videos dedicated to draft evasion. There are no explanations for the changes in the platform's policy yet. But Google has a history of trying to cooperate with authoritarian regimes that tried to censor information on the Internet.
