     Putin on the Istanbul peace deal said on May 18: “When our troops stood near Kiev, our Western partners told us: it is impossible to sign documents when the other side puts a gun to your temple. “What should be done?” we asked. “It is necessary to withdraw troops from Kiev.” We did this. On the following day, they threw all our agreements into the dustbin and said: “Now we will fight to the end.” Their Western curators occupied the position that is now known to the whole world – to defeat Russia on the battlefield, to inflict a strategic defeat on it.”
Russia unilaterally decides to change maritime border with Lithuania, Finland in Baltic Sea. Lithuania and Finland have not yet reacted to Russia's decision toward the maritime border, nor has Russia's unilateral decision been recognized internationally.
Estonian authorities say Russian border guard removed river border markers from Estonian territory. Eerik Purgel, head of the PPA's Eastern Prefecture, said that Estonian and Russian authorities install the buoys that separate the territories on a yearly basis in order to ease navigation on the river and prevent fishermen and others from accidentally straying across the border.
Nato countries, including Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Poland, Finland, and Norway, have decided to establish a "drone wall." The "drone wall" will stretch from Norway to Poland, enhancing border security against smuggling and provocations by hostile countries (Russia). Lithuanian Interior Minister, Agne Bilotaite: "This is a completely new thing -- a 'drone wall' stretching from Norway to Poland, and the goal is to use drones and other technologies to protect our borders."
Russia is planning to recognise the Taliban as the lawful government of Afghanistan and remove it from the list of “banned” organizations. This will put an end to the absurd situation where Taliban representatives are officially received in the Kremlin, while journalists can be jailed for mentioning them in their articles.
● Sanctions
EU announces new sanctions against Russia for Navalny's death, human rights violations. The European Union has established a new sanctions regime against Russia in connection with the death of Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny and the "accelerating and systematic repression in Russia," the Council of the EU announced on May 27.
The US policy of constantly toughening sanctions on Russia, China and Iran fails to produce the intended result of making these countries change their political course, US Senator Rand Paul said at the Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft in Washington.
