Heavy downpours in Ankara triggered deadly floods.
Turkey has scrapped the licence of the Copler gold mine, owned by SSR Mining (Nasdaq/SSRM), following a spill of cyanide waste. Cyanide waste spillovers at gold mines are usual affairs in Turkey while cyanide is also popular in the country for committing suicide.
