     The Central Scientific Research Automobile and Automotive Engines Institute (NAMI) has acquired all Russia-based assets of car company Nissan, including a plant in St. Petersburg, the deal is officially closed, NAMI said in a statement on Thursday. “The Central Scientific Research Automobile and Automotive Engines Institute NAMI and group of companies Nissan have signed a deal on acquiring the assets of Nissan Manufacturing Rus. As a result, 100% of Nissan’s assets in Russia... were transferred to the Russian state ownership embodied by NAMI,” the statement read. “The assets include production and research facilities of Nissan in St. Petersburg and a sales and marketing center in Moscow. The closure of the deal will allow saving the facilities’ key competences, the production cycle and the jobs,” it also read.
The Russian truck maker Kamaz plans to launch the full-scale production of K5 trucks with components not depending on supplies from unfriendly countries in February 2023, the office of Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov said in a statement on the official website of the Russian Government. "It is planned to ensure the full-scale production of K5 generation trucks since February 2023 with the use of components not depending on supplies from unfriendly states," the statement reads.
Russian carmaker Avtotor plans to launch the facilities producing components for electric cars in 2023, the company said in a statement on its Telegram channel on November 15. "The necessary equipment will be purchased at the beginning of 2023. The launch of the plants producing electric engines and electronic automation tools is scheduled for the end of 2023," the company said. Building of the two plants is almost finished, Avtotor added.
Russian carmaker Sollers plans to acquire Mazda’s stake in a Vladivostok-based joint venture and to start production of a new model range at the facility in 2023, a spokesperson for the company told PRIME on November 10. The person also said that the deal has already been approved by the Federal Antimonopoly Service and the governmental commission.
Japan's car maker Isuzu Motors is considering leaving Russia, newswire Kyodo reported on November 9. The company presented a forecast includingmns of US dollars in losses from activities in Russia until 2024 at a press conference. Since the prospects of restart of the activities in the country are unclear, the company is considering all prospects, including leaving Russia. Newspaper Yomiuri reported earlier that Isuzu was considering stopping truck production in Russia because of troubles with component procurement. In October, a company representative told PRIME that Isuzu was studying scenarios of keeping the Russian business.
