December 2 they were unable to comment on the loan application, which is down to the government to decide.
Estonia’s state audit office has criticised KredEx for what it called “haphazardly” issued loans amounting to a staggering €1bn.
Over 500 households in Viljandi County reportedly already use such machines, and Cleveron's Viljandi headquarters is designing a new model, which would be able to accommodate a variety of different deliveries.
Cleveron board member Arno Kutt said that all companies and e-stores can send both groceries and ordinary goods to these facilities, as can various logistics firms and larger and smaller firms.
The parcel machines open to the public have both cooling and heating facilities where needed; the private versions would have an insulated cabinet which could maintain whatever temperature the delivery, including food and drinks, would require, Kutt said.
While intended for private houses they could also be installed adjacent to apartment buildings, he said, with spaces either purchased or rented. Rentals cost lest than €10 per month, he said.
Cleveron says that once the new system becomes available to around 50,000 households nationwide over the coming years, it would pique the interest of e-commerce and logistics firms.
Founded in 2007, Cleveron produces robotics- based parcel terminals and click-and-collect solutions for the retail and logistics sectors.
Apps of Russian majors Yandex and Mail.ru on mandatory pre-installation list
Russia's Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media has announced that it has prepared and submitted to the
government a preliminary rating of domestic applications and programmes to be pre-installed on new devices sold in Russia, according to Kommersant daily.
As reported by bne IntelliNews, Russian government has approved the mandatory guidelines of pre-installing domestic software on smart devices sold in the country.
Reportedly, the preliminary list includes 29 applications across 12 categories, with five Yandex products and 13 Mail.ru products.
Four of Yandex’s products lead in their categories (its browser, search engine, map service and cloud storage service), while Mail.ru has six
apps that are category leaders (its email service, ICQ messenger, Marusya voice assistant, news aggregator, streaming service OK Live and
social network VK), Sova Capital commented on December 8.
However, the pre-installation law will not take effect until April 1, 2021 (previously expected
on January 1, 2021), according to Interfax. Nevertheless, Sova sees the news as supportive for both Yandex (Hold recommendation) and Mail. ru (Buy recommendation).
As reported by bne IntelliNews, in September BCS Global Markets downgraded its recommendation on Yandex from Buy to Hold after a "stunning" 58% jump in prices in ruble terms in the preceding three months. At the same time BCS GM maintained a Buy call for Mail.ru.
