The current gas reserves in European storage have reduced to 69.49%, but this is only by 20% higher than the average for the same date in the last five years. At the same time, the level of reserves in European gas storage facilities is the maximum in the entire history of observations. In January, European liquefied natural gas terminals received were 62% utilized, for the first days of February, the indicator was 60%.
The Nord Stream pipelines were destroyed last September by the US in a covert operation, Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative journalist Seymour Hersh has claimed. The legendary reporter made the bombshell revelation in an article posted to his newly launched blog on Substack on February 8.
The latest IEA's Monthly Gas Statistics report including November 2022 data shows that for Total OECD:
Production of natural gas increased by 2.5% compared to November 2021.
Imports (entries) 1 of natural gas were 9.8% lower on a year-on-year basis, and total OECD exports (exits) 1decreased by 6.1% in the same period.
Gross consumption of natural gas decreased by 7.2% in November 2022 on a year-on year basis.
