Navalny urges restoration of 1991 borders, reparation payments to Ukraine by Russia. Jailed Kremlin critic Alexey Navalny’s team issued a statement on Feb. 20 calling for the restoration of Ukraine’s 1991 borders and the payment of reparations by Moscow, independent Russian media outlet Meduza reported.
Belarus plans to form 100,000-150,000 strong volunteer military force. Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenko said on Feb. 20 that he had ordered the formation of a new volunteer territorial defense in the country so that everyone knows how to "handle weapons" and be ready to respond to an act of aggression
Casualties
The forces of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation and Russian private military companies have probably lost from 175,000 to 200,000 people since the beginning of a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, according to UK intelligence services
In February, Russian troops' casualty rate five times higher than usual. According to an investigation, Russian casualties have been five times higher than usual in the past two weeks. Throughout 2022, Russian troops' typical proven casualty rate was around 250-300 per week. However, these figures began to double in January 2023 and have risen continually.
Russia has already started new offensive in Ukraine. Russian dictator Vladimir Putin has already started new offensive actions in Ukraine, "sending in thousands and thousands more troops," NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said on Feb. 13, as quoted by the Financial Times. "It is clear that we are in the race of logistics. Key capabilities like ammunition...must reach Ukraine before Russia can seize the initiative on the battlefield."
General Staff: Russia has lost 142,270 troops in Ukraine since Feb. 24. According to the report, Russia has also lost 3,303 tanks, 6,533 armored fighting vehicles, 5,196 vehicles and fuel tanks, 2,326 artillery systems, 469 multiple launch rocket systems, 243 air defense systems, 298 airplanes, 287 helicopters, 2,016 drones, and 18 boats.
Over the first two weeks of February , the Russian Federation has suffered enormous losses. British intelligence has calculated the average Russian losses for each month of the invasion. It is clear that Russian losses increased significantly in January and February of this year. The Russians suffered minor losses in April, June, and July last year - 193, 172, and 173 soldiers per day. Towards the end of the year, Russian casualties began to rise to an average of 415 dead per day in October, 559 in November, and 537 in December. However, in January, the Russians lost an average of 701 soldiers per day and 824 in February. This figure was higher only in February
