4.5.1 Labour market, unemployment dynamics
          Russia’s unemployment stays at 3.9% in March 2023

           Salary offers of employers for 2022 increased by 11.6% overall, Aleksey Zakharov, president of the SuperJob recruiting service, said in an interview with Vedomosti. “Of course, this is slightly lower than inflation of 11.94% for 2022, but it should be taken into account that salaries grew mainly among highly qualified specialists, while medium and low-skilled specialists, at best, did not see their reduction,” he specified. . The largest growth, according to SuperJob, was observed in the IT industry (15%), construction (12.5%) and industry (11.6%). In January-October 2022, salaries in nominal terms increased by 12.7% in annual terms, follows from the latest data from Rosstat. According to the statistics agency, over this period, real wages (after inflation) decreased by 1.3%. According to the forecast of the Ministry of Economic Development, real wages in 2022 should have decreased by 2%. In 2023, the growth of real wages is projected at 2.6%, and in 2024 - at 2.9%.
