On November 14, BlackRock increased its stake to 5.12% from 4.485% with purchasing 8.69mn shares at an average price of TRY13.57.
On January 6, 2020 , Blacrock’s stake declined to 4.85% from 5.12% after it sold 3.8mn shares at an average price of TRY13.6, a 0.3% stake in the company and 5% of average daily trading volume.
The Turkey Wealth Fund (TWF), chaired by Erdogan, controls a 49.12% stake in Turkish Airlines. The Privatisation Administration retains one golden share while the remaining 50.88% of the carrier is listed on the Borsa Istanbul.

TAV Airports Holding, which operated Ataturk Airport until the government closed it in April 2019, said on December 26, 2019 that it had received €389mn in compensation because operations at Ataturk Airport were terminated before the end of the lease period due in 2021.
