The Turkmen Ministry of Energy and TAPP-500 Power Transmission Line FZE, a subsidiary of Turkey’s Calik Holding, have signed an agreement on cooperation in carrying out the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan (TAP) power transmission line project, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reported. The Asian Development Bank-supported TAP power transmission line project is designed for the annual transfer of at least 2,000 megawatts of power in its first phase, with Afghanistan to receive “$200mn in transmission rights”.

Arcelik participated in a €100mn capital increase in its Netherlands-based wholly owned subsidiary Ardutch BV, the company said on January 9.
