9.1.1a Oil & gas sector results
Russian oil companies lowered oil and gas condensate production by 1.9% monthly to 44.2mn tonnes in September 2022 (up 0.6% annually), the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat) said. Production moved up by 2.8% to 398mn tonnes in January - September 2022. Oil lifting without gas condensate totaled 40.7mn tonnes in this September, down 0.5% y/y and 3.3% month-on-month.
Russia’s production of natural gas decreased by 26.4% on the year to 39.1bn cubic meters (bcm) in September, the Federal State Statistic Service said in a statement on Wednesday. In January–September, the output of gas fell by 12.1% to 428 bcm, while the production of associated petroleum gas gained 0.7% to 74.3 bcm.
Russia lowered natural gas production in January - September 2022 by 12.1% against the like period of the last year to 428bn cubic meters, the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat) said. Gas production in September contracted by 26.4% annually but gained 1.4% monthly to 39.1bn cubic meters. Liquefied natural gas (LNG) production totaled 24.1mn tonnes in the reporting period, up 11.9% against the like period in 2021. LNG production in September 2022 stood at 2.5mn tonnes, down 0.5% in annual terms and up 5.5% monthly. Associated petroleum gas production had an uptick by 0.7% to 74.3bn cubic meters in January - September of this year.
Gazprom lowered natural gas production by 18% y/y to 327.4bn cubic metres, the holding said on October 17. Gas export to non-CIS countries tumbled by 41.4% (by 63bn cubic metres) annually to 89.3bn cubic metres, the company said.
The average daily export figure increased by 2% monthly in October to 160mn cubic metres, Gazprom informed. The company continues gas supplies in accordance with approved nominations. The demand for Gazprom’s gas from the gas transport system declined on the domestic market by 5.2% (by 9.5bn cubic metres) within 9.5 months of this year. Russia’s gas export to China over the Power of Siberia gas pipeline continues growing, the gas holding said. Supplies are taking place regularly above the daily contracted quantities, Gazprom noted.
