condensate from Aug. 1 to Aug. 23, according to calculations based on data from the Energy Ministry’s CDU-TEK unit seen by Bloomberg. That’s about 1.9% below the July level, the data and last month’s figures obtained by Russian newspaper Kommersant show.
Russian oil output has overcome the decline and is slightly above the level of last year, Russia will continue to ensure stable energy security, despite the sanctions pressure, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Octob13 at the Russian Energy Week forum.
"We do not intend to give up ur positions in the face of the pressure from sanctions and infrastructure sabotage. We will keep up our efforts to maintain stable energy security and forge relationships with nations that are interested in this. Russia’s volume of oil production has already overcome the decline and is even slightly higher than the level of last year," Putin said.
He also added that the total volume of production in Russia and oil exports over up to 2025 will remain at around the current level. "We plan that up to 2025, the total volume of oil exports, as well as the volume of oil production in our country, will remain approximately at the current level," he said, speaking at the Russian Energy Week forum.
Russian oil exports in September 2022 fell by 230,000 barrels per day (bpd) to 7.5mn bpd, which is 560,000 bpd below the level before the start of a special military operation in Ukraine, according to the October report of the International Energy Agency (IEA). At the same time, Russia's revenues from oil exports also decreased - by $3.2bn to $15.3bn, the report said. The agency's experts noted that oil exports from Russia to the EU fell by 390,000 bpd compared to the previous month. The IEA also does not rule out the possibility that after the EU embargo on imports of Russian oil enters into force in December, its supply to the world market may be reduced even more.
