Upward pressure also came from other CPI items such as furnishings & household equipment (25.7% vs 24.4%); alcoholic beverages & tobacco (21.6% vs 21.2%); restaurants & hotels (20.2% vs 19.2%) and recreation & culture (16.5% vs 15.5%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose by 2.%, the most in five months, after a 1.9% increase in the prior month.
