4.2.1 CPI dynamics
Georgia’s annual inflation slows in August
Georgia's annual inflation rate decreased from 6% in July to 5.7% in August, national statistics agency Geostat reported on September 4.
The main contributors to the y/y increase in consumer prices were a 17.5% hike in the prices of tobacco and alcoholic beverages, a 11.6% increase in transport prices and a 6.2% increase in food prices.
