Ukraine ranks second among Central and Eastern European countries in terms of the number of artificial intelligence companies. As of the end of 2023, 243 AI companies and about 5,200 specialists worked in Ukraine, the second-highest number after Poland (301 companies).
Approximately 20% of Ukrainian IT specialists are abroad. According to industry research data, as of May 2022 the total number of IT professionals in Ukraine was 285,000. Of them, 228,000 lived in Ukraine, and approximately 50,000-57,000 were abroad. In 2023, the number of Ukrainian IT specialists increased to 307,000 (+7.9%). At the same time, the number of specialists who left Ukraine increased to 65,000 (+20%).

Ukraine will install up to one GW of gas-fired distributed generation urgently, and DTEK Energy will direct all available funds to restore TPPs. It is realistic to install up to one GW of gas-fired power generation in Ukraine, according to Deputy Minister of Energy Mykola Kolisnyk. "Several tens of megawatts have already been installed, and several hundred megawatts are at the stage of connection," he said. Meanwhile, the DTEK Energy company is investing all available funds to restore thermal power plants damaged by Russian shelling, said DTEK Executive Director Dmytro Sakharuk. "We lost 90% of DTEK Energy's capacity. We are investing ₴4B to recover," he said
