    Over the next five years, up to $500mn will be invested to develop a year round resort in mountains around the century-old Carpathian resort of Slavske, Lviv region. Phase one will include 20 km of ski trails and hotels and ski-in ski-out condos, that Vasyl Danyliak, first vice president of OKKO Group, the lead investor. Danyliak and Oleksandr Shevchenko,co-owner of Bukovel, signed an agreement Wednesday with Ukravtodor on development of roads to support Carpathian mountain tourism.
To promote ‘green’ energy efficient commercial real estate, the EBRD is lending Dragon Capital $12.5mn for construction on Grand Business centre and two warehouses, one in Brovary and one in Kharkiv. Last July, Grand Business centre became Kyiv’s first office building to receive a sustainability certificate under the Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method, or BREEAM, an internationally recognized environmental rating system. A 15-story Class A office centre, with 9,000 square meters of leasable space, Grand Business stands at Vasylkivska 98, across from the St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Cathedral. By the end of this year, Dragon intends to have eight buildings in Ukraine certified by BREEAM, Dragon reports. The two warehouses -- Diana Lux Logistic in Kyiv and Terminal Kharkiv – have a combined rental area of 26,000 square meters.
