Earnings from iron ore export fell by 45%. In six months, Ukraine's foreign earnings from the export of iron ore raw materials fell by 44.8% to $2.16B, according to data from the State Customs Service. In January-June of this year, Ukraine reduced the export of iron ore raw materials in terms of the amount by 24.2% to 17 million tons compared to the same period last year. Iron ore was exported mainly to Slovakia (18.68% in monetary terms), China (17.55%), and Poland (14.65%).

The minister stated that after the launch of the NAZOVNI digital platform, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs received 357 requests from 93 foreign companies to find partners abroad. According to Ukrainian companies’ requests, the Top 10 most desirable foreign markets for Ukrainian exporters are Germany, the USA, Poland, France, Turkey, Austria, Romania, Canada, the Czech Republic, and Spain. The most popular export goods are agricultural products, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, natural cosmetic products, souvenir products, engineering technologies, decor, and interior items.
Through May, the export of IT services have increased by 27%. IT services became the only business area that grew in 2022 compared to 2021. “In the first five months of this year, the share of IT in all service exports was 46% against 37% a year earlier. From January to May 2022, all service exports remained at the level of the corresponding period the previous year, $6.8B. At the same time, the export of goods fell by 20% - from $22.5B to $17.9B," reported Opendatabot. Additionally, the geography of product export has also changed. Due to the recapture of Snake Island, the passage of grain ships has reopened. Thanks to the liberation of Snake Island from the Russian invaders, the mouth of Bystre has become available for the passage of freight ships carrying agricultural products, reported the press service of the Seaports Administration of Ukraine. “Shipping through the Danube-Black Sea Canal has been restored, and many ships are anticipating passage through the Sulina Canal. Now, it is possible to use the channel of the Danube-Black Sea River for the entry and exit of ships transporting agricultural products," said the Seaport Administration. It is reported that two barge-towing vessels have already passed through the mouth of Bystre to their destination.
