It provides for fixing the price of gas for thermal utilities at the level of UAH 7.4 per cubic meter until the end of the heating season, as reported on the Ukrainian government portal. Following this, the price will remain unchanged for all utilities. This allows local authorities to maintain current tariffs for heat and hot water. The fixed price will remain until May 31, 2023," Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said.
Energoatom and Westinghouse will construct two reactors at Khmelnytskyi NPP. The US Westinghouse Electric Company announced a new contract with the Ukrainian State Nuclear company Energoatom. According to the agreement, Westinghouse will provide AP1000reactor technical information supporting Energoatom's feasibility study update for constructing two AP1000 reactors at the Khmelnytskyi Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) in Ukraine. The effort advances the previously signed agreement between Westinghouse and Energoatom to build AP1000 plants at Khmelnytskyi NPP units five and six, begin the licensing process and further develop Ukraine's clean energy initiatives.
Ukraine will build a new energy model after the war. After the war, Ukraine should not restore the old energy model but build a new, state-of-the-art one, said Minister of Energy German Galushchenko. According to him, it will be necessary to depart from the structure of the existing energy system. “Talks about reforms have been going on for a long time. We want the abandonment of fossil fuels, the modernization of thermal generation, and the implementation of everything related to the green course - the green deal.” The minister expects Ukraine to become a proving ground for the symbiosis of solutions with the best technologies available worldwide. However, due to the war, the ministry is forced to forsake far-reaching plans in favor of quick repairs that connect people to energy supplies, allowing them to receive gas and electricity.
Ukraine wants to increase the electricity export capacity to the EU. In the near future, Ukraine aims to raise the capacity for electricity export to European countries up to 6 GW, reported the Ukraine Ministry of Energy. According to the Minister of Energy, Herman Galushchenko, Ukraine already has the technical capabilities to export about 1,700 MW. He added that the share of "green" electricity in Ukraine's energy mix is about 70%, while the average figure in European countries is 63%. As a reminder, Ukraine joined the European energy grid ENTSO-E, due to which electricity produced in Ukraine can be sold on the European market.

Ukraine will introduce a new model of support for green electricity producers. The Ministry of Energy has prepared a draft law introducing a new support model for producers of green electricity - net metering. This new mechanism will allow consumers who have generating plants and produce electricity from alternative sources to accumulate the funds
