Minister Denys Shmyhal says that Ukraine plans to sign two contracts with the EU: a customs-free agreement and an agreement on the liberalization of road freight transport. These agreements are the basis for the movement of goods between EU member states. “We already use the relevant computerized NCTS system and are technically ready to accede to the convention." said the Prime Minister. According to him, such a merger will significantly accelerate the passage of customs and the flow of goods, which will improve the quality of trade and provide new opportunities for Ukrainian business.
Croatia offers ports for the transportation of Ukrainian grain. Croatia's Adriatic ports may provide an alternative route for transporting grain from Ukraine, whose Black Sea ports remain blocked, stated Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Croatia Andreja Metelko Zgombych. She pointed out that Croatian ports on the Adriatic are available and can be an efficient and short route to North Africa. Ten days ago, the European Commission presented an action plan to create "solidarity strips" to export grain and other agricultural products by land from Ukraine, whose ports were blocked after the Russian invasion. Before the Russian attack, 90% of Ukrainian grain and oilseeds exports passed through Black Sea ports.

the European Commission unveiled an action plan to help Ukraine export its agricultural products, given the ports blocked by Russia, which handled 90% of Ukrainian export. The European Commission has outlined an action plan to create "routes of solidarity" so that Ukraine can export grain and import the goods it needs. Here are the priority measures in the short term:
Additional rolling stock, vessels, and trucks: The commission calls on EU market participants to provide additional vehicles urgently.
The capacity of transport networks and transshipment terminals: Ukrainian agricultural exports should be prioritized, and infrastructure managers should provide railway slots for these exports.
Customs operations and other inspections: The Commission calls on national authorities to be as flexible as possible and provide sufficient staff to speed up procedures at checkpoints.
Storage of goods in the EU: The Commission will assess the existing storage capacity in the EU and coordinate with its member states to help provide more power for the temporary storage of Ukrainian exports.
Despite difficulties exporting goods, Ukraine has exported 650,000 tons of grain. Since the beginning of the marketing year, Ukraine has exported more than 46.5 million tons of grains and legumes. In the first three weeks of May, 64,0003tons were exported, reported the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine. Thus, as of May 19, since the beginning of 2021/2022 MY, Ukraine has already exported 46.512 million tons of cereals and legumes. Exports were the following: wheat 18.542 million tons (in May - 16 thousand tons); barley - 5.676 million tons (8 thousand tons); rye - 161.9 thousand tons (none shipped in May); corn - 21.828 million tons (617 thousand tons in May). Also, during this period, 70.6 thousand tons of flour were exported (1.1 thousand tons in May).
