Exports of German products to Russia decreased in May by 19.3% compared to April, taking into account calendar and seasonal fluctuations, to 600mn euro, according to the German Federal Statistical Office. Compared to May last year, exports decreased by 22.1%. At the same time, imports of Russian goods to Germany in May decreased by 8% compared to April to 200mn euro and by 35.7% - compared to May 2023. The total volume of German exports reached 131.6bn euro in May, falling by 3.6% compared to April. Meanwhile, imports also decreased - by 6.6%, to 106.7bn euro.
Trade turnover between Russia and Kyrgyzstan has increased by 5.8% in 2024, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk said speaking at the 11th Russian-Kyrgyz interregional conference. "There has been positive dynamics of mutual trade in the current year 2024 as well. According to our data, our trade turnover, increased by 5.8%," he said. As Overchuk noted, within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU), Russia is one of Kyrgyzstan’s leading partners. "We account for 18.7% of the republic’s foreign trade turnover at the end of 2023," he added. The Russian Deputy Prime Minister also pointed to the intensive development of investment cooperation between the countries.
