Switzerland has introduced a total of 155 sanctions against individuals and companies from Russia. Switzerland has added 69 individuals and 86 organizations to the Russian Federation's sanctions list, including businesspeople, judges, military personnel, and companies in the defence, financial, and trade sectors. In addition, Switzerland imposed restrictions on the activities of several Russian mass media outlets.
Japan arrests first Russian for sanctions evasion. A Russian has been arrested in Japan on suspicion of evading sanctions for the first time, Japanese news outlet Nikkei reported on July 10.
UK imposes more sanctions on tankers moving Russian oil. London imposed sanctions on 11 more tankers that help Russia carry oil to third countries on July 18, the UK government announced.
Greece has extended its ban on transshipment of Russian oil near its shores. The Greek Navy has extended its ban until September 15, effectively prohibiting the movement of ships near the coast of the southeastern part of the Peloponnese and beyond to prevent the transfer of Russian oil from ship to ship.
Poland considers suspending goods transport through Belarus. "Poland has specific conditions for Belarus if it would like to normalize relations," Polish Deputy Foreign Minister Andrzej Szejna said.

Head of Russian military company, linked to disgraced ex-deputy minister, arrested on corruption charges. Kommersant reported there may be additional charges in the future, as both the company and Andrei Belkov himself were previously supervised by former Deputy Defence Minister Timur Ivanov, who is currently also under investigation on corruption-related charges.
Russia sentences US journalist Evan Gershkovich to 16 years in jail. Gershkovich was arrested in Yekaterinburg in late March 2023 while working on a story about the Wagner mercenary group's recruiting methods, as well as Russian citizens' views on the full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
Lavrov claims Russia has ‘irrefutable evidence’ that US journalist Gershkovich is a spy. Russia's foreign minister said on July 17 that there is "irrefutable evidence" that imprisoned Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich is guilty of espionage, one day before the journalist is scheduled to appear in court.
