"Of that amount, remuneration equaled RUB70.38bn, incentive rewards amounted to RUB15.87bn, and insurance payments totaled RUB110.17bn," Putin explained.
Additionally, President Putin disclosed that the Concord company, which owns Wagner, received RUB80bn ($940 mn) from the state during the same period. These funds were designated for supplying food and providing food services to the army.
"The state fully ensured the financing [of Wagner], whereas a portion of that group, this Concord company, earned RUB80bn during the same period," Putin revealed. He expressed his hope that no misappropriation had occurred during these activities, or at the very least, that the instances of theft were minimal.
"Hopefully, nobody stole anything during these activities or, let's say, stole less," Putin remarked. He assured that a thorough investigation would be conducted to examine the financial aspects in question.
