The Ukrainian government has withdrawn a bill that sought to reform Ukraine’s approach to mobilisation from the parliament, Cabinet press service said in a Telegram post on January 11.

Yurii Nikolov, one of Ukraine's prominent investigative journalists who revealed procurement wrongdoing in the defence Ministry under its previous leadership, said on Jan. 15 that he received a visit from unidentified people threatening him.
Court arrests investment banker Mazepa in connection to illegal land acquisition. He was taken into custody until Feb. 27 with an alternative of almost Hr 350 million ($9.1 million) bail, even though the prosecution insisted on bail in the amount of Hr 700 million ($18.2 million).

Investment banker Mazepa released on reduced bail. Ihor Mazepa, a Ukrainian businessman and the founder of the Concorde Capital investment firm, has been released from pre-trial detention on a Hr 21 million ($550,450) bail, according to a statement by his company's press service.

US Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink announced that three inspectors general from the US Department of Defence, the State Department and USAID had arrived in Kyiv on January 29. “Today inspector generals of the US Department of State, USAID and the US Department of Defence met with Defence Minister Rustem Umerov. We discussed the importance of oversight and accountability of US security assistance and the MOD’s efforts to assure this oversight,” the Ambassador said on X.
