According to 30% of respondents, the special operation in Ukraine will continue for more than a year, 18% believe that hostilities will end within a year. 20% of respondents hope for their completion within six months, and only 13% of those polled are optimistic about the end of hostilities within one to three months.
62% of Russians are sure that the special operation is "definitely" or "rather" successful, 19% hold the opposite opinion, and the same number found it difficult to answer.
In addition, there is an attitude that is rooted in society that “the authorities know better, we are small people,” and the “little man” is not very versed in current politics and does not want to do this, the expert continues.
The authors of the study warned that its results may not show the real situation, since the fear to talk about the war has increased among Russians.

More than a third (36%) of Ukrainian refugees living abroad plan to return to Ukraine after they are convinced that it is safe to be in the area where they lived, according to the results of a sociological survey "Attitudes and Assessments of Ukrainian Refugees" conducted by the sociological service of the Razumkov Center on July 20 through August 25, 2022.
Ukrainian consumers’ mood slightly improved in July. The consumer sentiment index in Ukraine in July amounted to 73.2 points, which is 1.1 points higher than in June, according to the monthly survey by Info Sapiens. The index of the current situation decreased and is 37.2, which is 1.1 points lower than the indicator’s level in June. The index of economic expectations increased by 2.5 points to 97.2 points. In July, the index of expected unemployment dynamics increased by 3.7 points and is 146.4 points. The index of inflation expectations increased by 0.6 points and is 183 points. The expectations of Ukrainians regarding the hryvnia exchange rate over the next three months have worsened: the index of devaluation expectations has increased by 5.4 points to 157.5 points. Moreover, expectations for unemployment, inflation, and devaluation also worsened.
Some 90.4% of Ukrainians are proud to be citizens of Ukraine, according to a sociology poll conducted on August 5-12 by the Ilko Kucheriv Democratic Initiatives Foundation jointly with the sociological service of the Razumkov Centre.
The respondents were asked to what extent they are proud or not proud of being citizens of Ukraine. Some 1.6% said they are absolutely not proud, 3.8% are probably proud, 54.5% are very proud, and 4.2% could not answer.
Also, 67.8% said they consider Ukraine an indeed independent state, 15.7% do not consider Ukraine an indeed independent state, and 16.6% could not answer the question.
The respondents were also asked how they would vote if the referendum on the proclamation of the independence of Ukraine was held today. Some 87.5%
