3K WOVEN GRAPHITE
3K woven graphite made into tapered or straight grips. Sensitive,
strong and durable. We offer custom shims and interface parts to
make building with these a snap.
CARBON FIBER
Carbon Fiber Grips feature a dense closed cell foam wrapped in
a seamless carbon sleeve. Absolute state of the art in terms of
sensitivity. Light in weight, strong and durable. What’s not to like.
SUPER GRADE CORK
Super grade cork is the finest we carry. Very low porosity so it
also has very low percentage of fill. It is made from the finest cork
rings available.
PREMIUM A-GRADE CORK
A grade cork is very high quality, just below super grade in terms
of porosity and percentage of fill. Very high quality that will
provide years of service.
HDCC
High density cork composite is a blend of ground up cork and
a rubber compound. It is commonly used as accent and also in
high wear areas such as butt caps. Very durable and also UV
stable. It is held together with a waterproof glue and can be
turned to various shapes.
BURL
Burl is a specific type of cork that is mainly used as accent for
cosmetics reasons. Very high in porosity, and not as durable as
other choices.
EVA - Ethelene Vinyl Acetate
EVA is a closed cell dense foam material used for making rod
grips. Very durable, economical, and UV stable as well. Very
popular in both fresh and saltwater applications. We typically
stock parts that feature a 60% hardness measured with Shore
A Durometer.
EPDM (BattleLon)
EPDM is a environmentally friendly version of Hypalon. This is a
very soft material common on certain saltwater rods in the fore
grip region. Very comfortable to hold and less slippery than EVA.
HEAT SHRINK
Heat shrink tubing is a UV stable shrinkable sleeve that can be
used many ways. Great for covering, older worn out grips without
having to replace them, or covering EVA grips for a unique look.
It is available in many size, colors and patterns and is very
affordable.
COLD SHRINK
Cold shrink is a heavy duty UV stable material normally used to
cover under ground electrical splices and joints. It also happens
to make a great heavy duty saltwater grip. It features a removable
nylon spring core that when removed it shrinks up.
NYLON
These hollow nylon / fiberglass blends are popular when used
as rear / bottom grips for easier removal from a rod holder. Very
durable and easy to install.
TEXALIUM
We offer this fiberglass with woven aluminum filament wrapped
the straight tube. This is only available in straight tubes. We offer
all the needed shims and inner face parts for this as well.
WINN
Winn grips feature EVA covered in a proprietary compound that is
very durable and features a soft supple feel , plus it is still grippy
when wet. Very popular in many freshwater applications where
lots of casting is involved. Winn also offers a tape with similar
properties that can be used on surf style rods, gaff handles etc.
