        are some transition words that are often used for Expressing Cause and Effect:

            •  Therefore
               Her husband had an affair again for third times. Therefore, she decided to get a
               divorce

            •  As a result
               He didn’t study seriously and just played the game all night long. As the result, he
               failed on the exam next day
            •  Consequently
               She forgot to turn off the stove when boiling the water. Consequently, the water was
               dried and the kettle was burned
            •  Thus

               He didn’t live with his parents for 20 years now. Thus, he felt awkward when met
               them again yesterday
            •  For this reason
               She doesn’t like physical and outdoor activities. For this reason, she rejected when her
               friends asked her to come along to climb the mountain



        ► Preposition

        Prepositions are used to indicate the relationship of one part to another in a sentence. In
        Expressing Cause and Effect, prepositions are used to describe cause (cause) which refers to

        the phrase noun (noun).Here are some prepositions that are often used for Expressing
        Cause and Effect:

               Due to the flood, the road was blocked and I can’t go anywhere

            •  Because of
               She can’t meet and date a new guy because of her first love
            •  Thanks to
               Thanks to her endless effort, she got the presidential award in education field

            •  Caused by
               That destroyed house is caused by typhoon last night
