SABIS® Stars

SABIS® Stars 2018 took place over the course of two days, the 20th and 21st of April, and was

held at SIS Yas Island. Twenty-eight schools from twelve countries participated in this event,

each bringing forth the best talent their schools had to offer. We’d like to thank SIS Yas Island for

hosting this biannual event, extending a special thanks to Mr. Malaeb, the director of SIS Yas

Island, the SABIS stars committee, all ISC Dubai staff members (very special thanks to Ms

Giorgiana, Mr Saab, Mr Halim, Mr Marc, Ms Ghada Hoss, Ms Nagham, Ms Suzanne, Ms Kulthum,

Ms Lenehan, Ms Yara Hazbun, Ms Elizabeth, Ms Ghazia ) and SLO prefects who helped make this

a very successful event.

After all, our students had the opportunity to display their talents, a good number managed to

qualify and continue to the final rounds.

After a grueling day, the results were as follows:

· Maria Salgado - 1st in Singing

· Aaksa Nair, Rithvik Pillai, and Yashica Kataria – 2nd in Debate

· Yasmin Jahani Kia – 2nd in Photography

· Rodina Katar – 2nd in Junior Painting

· Mariam Elzayyat – 2nd in Creative Writing

· Arina Seroglazova and Sarah Aljaafari – 3rd in Our World Our Concern

After viewing the talent from such a diverse group of students, we cannot wait to see the talent

that will emerge in the coming years. Students from ISC Dubai never lose their determination,

and will always have their sights set on making us very proud once again in SABIS Stars 2020.’’
