His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum

Our two teams came in second and third place in the Math National Contest hosted by Abu Dhabi University.
There were 81 teams from 41 schools in the UAE.
Team members: Ha Kyung Kwon (12S) and Omar Ramadan (12S) who came in second place,
and Raneem Khoury (12S) and Omar Chbaklo (12S) who came in third place.

The Arab Reading Challenge (ARC) is an initiative
to encourage students in the UAE and Arab world
to read, and it was launched by His Highness
Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum,
Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and
Ruler of Dubai. The competition commenced in
September 2015, with students having up until the
end of February 2016 to read a total of 50 books.
Once accomplished, they were tested on their
ability to speak the Arab language in a skillful
manner. There were over 160,000 students from
828 schools taking part in the competition, in which
SABIS® Dubai, Sharjah, and Ras Al Khaimah were
finalists. Dina Khattab from ISC Dubai, Anan
Mahmoud from ISC Sharjah, and Sara El Jasmi
from ISC Ras Al Khaimah all represented SABIS® in
the final round of the competition.
