Director’s message
I am very lucky to be working in one of the most
rewarding jobs, surrounded by a diverse team of
highly motivated individuals consisting of stu-
dents, teachers and administrative staff alike. I
would like to take this opportunity to thank our
dedicated and talented teachers and administra-
tive staff members for the exceptional work they
do every day in supporting our students and
always having their best interests at heart.
Looking back at this academic year 2015-2016, I
am truly proud of all of our achievements. It
has been a great year full of learning, teach-
ing, hard work, fun and sad goodbyes. We have
held many successful events that we take pride
in, such as Cultural Day, National Day, SABIS®
STARs, and the tree planting/graduation ceremo-
ny where teachers, administrators, students and
parents gathered to embrace a common goal
between us all: happiness, pride, success and
celebrating achievements. These are the moments
when you realize that you are part of an
incredible team of people, all working hard to
achieve an overall goal: a collaborative school
culture.
We all have high expectations for our students,
myself included; as a team we have tried to empow-
er our children to take control of their own
learning and development by establishing an
environment built on accountability and respon-
sibility, mostly through our Student Life Organi-
zation (SLO®), which I am personally proud of. Our
SLO® team had tried to support and encourage all
students they work with, creating and sharing
ideas. It has been due to their hard work and
effort that we have been able to achieve such
great things, one of which is this year’s SLO®
Yearbook. This is a result of a joint effort by a
team of devoted students
and staff members. I would like to person-
ally thank them for their hard work and
for the beautiful memories that we will be
able to keep as a result of their teamwork.
I hope this book will help you enjoy remi-
niscing on all the wonderful activities
and experiences that took place this year,
now and in the years to come.
Happy memories!
