Some people in cyberspace have more power than others. There are experts in every
class and administrators in every system.
Knowing more than others, or having more power than they do, does not give you the
right to take advantage of them.
Rule 6: Tone down your language
Because written language lacks the support of facial or voice communication clues, it
can be easily misinterpreted. A great way to deal with this is to tone down your
language; avoid the use of strong words and, again, read aloud everything you want to
post before you send it. Don’t be a cyberbully. Moreover, try to avoid humour and
sarcasm completely, as they can both easily create misunderstandings and tension.
NOTE: Typing in all upper case is considered rude.
