2 Vision and Mission

As the coordinating agency of Islamic affairs at the federal level, the Department of Islamic
Development of Malaysia (JAKIM) Maqasid Shariah Division is responsible of implementing the
agenda of Maqasid Shariah guided by the strategic direction framework as follows:
