6 THINGS Every Seller Should Know About A Home Warranty 1. A Home Warranty covers home systems and appliances should they fail. The warranty provider will either repair the item or replace it for a small deductible. 2. Unknown conditions are covered by the policy as long as those malfunctions or defects were not observed or known about prior to the policy. 3. A Home Warranty covers issues arising from normal wear and tear, but not cosmetic concerns. 4. Buyers look at a home warranty as a benefit and allows you to leverage requests during the buyer’s inspection period. 5. If there is a claim you will pay a small deductible, but this generally is significantly less than the cost of repair or replacement. 6. We provide a home warranty for all of our sellers during the listing period and transfer the warranty to the buyer on your behalf.
