1. Preserves or

LOCKS in your faith—

(What faith? The belief that God exists and is the creator and ruler of all things,
the provider of salvation. And the belief that Jesus is the Messiah,
through whom we obtain salvation in the kingdom of God)
2. Authenticates or

LEGALIZES your son-ship—

But as many as received him [who, Jesus], to them gave he power [i.e. right—
authority, capability, ability, strength] to become the sons
[off-spring, children] of God, even to them that believe on his name. John 1:12
God has given you the right and might to be his children.

3. SHIELDS or Protects you—

from destructive forces (Satan)

I do not ask you to take them out of the world, but that you keep them
and protect them from the evil one. I do not pray for these alone

[it is not for their sake only that I make this request],
but also for [all] those who [will ever] believe and trust in me… John 17:15, 20
Keep in mind apart from SALVATION there is no SEAL.
