David’s sin against Uriah began with lust,
which was conceived in his private world at home
in the dark behind closed doors.
And that lust gave birth
to sin that went unchecked.
It grew spiraling out of control spilling over
into David’s public world for all to see.
This story was chosen because it gives a graphic
account of how Satan caused David, a man
after God’s own heart, to consciously sin.
