Dr. Bernard Leclerc also describes an area on the ear lobe which corresponds to the limbic area and which he calls “line of psychological confict”; this area is particularly tender to touch when there is emotional suffering (see fgure below)
The fact that the ear lobe represents the Central Nervous System is easily verifable in patients with a history of psychological trauma, because both ear lobes are painful to palpation. Chromo Auticular Therapy in the treatment of psychological trauma
History of an idea
I frst became acquainted with Chromotherapy several years ago thanks to Dr. Jorge Boucinhas, from Natal, Brazil, who had worked closely with Peter Mandel in is Chromotherapy School. He was working with a device designed by Dr. Mandel himself, which emitted light of different colors. These colors were applied on acupuncture points (thus the name of this technique as chromo acupuncture) to treat different ailments.
