Digenis was called to fight in far away places,

places where the enemies had their

headquarters, which were sometimes the

Saracens, sometimes they were beasts and

monsters and sometimes “Haros”.

Petra tou Romiou, the top of Pentadaktylos,

were just some of the locations with which the

most important mythical hero of the Cypriot folk

tradition is connected.
