Vanni on his return to Paris
creates a body of work
directly related to his previous
research enriched by his
studies with Albers, in which he develops a personal style. These paintings while closely related to the compositional concepts of Inverno (GV5301), witness the reintroduction of luminosity, which had been temporarily removed in the search for color purity. They all share a modulation of space achieved through distortions of prismatic-crystalline grids based on numerical progressions, to create the impression of underground currents.
