Lund Ramblers - Toilet Facilities

A subject of interest to ramblers, ladies in particular, is the
provision and quality of toilets on a ramble, to such an extent
that they are scored as regards cleanliness, warm water, hand
dryers etc., and the best talked about on subsequent rambles.

So here in reverse order are the top three.
Generally scored well as regards cleanliness, maintenance and being
close to the car park are the toilets in Downham village, are also close
to an ice cream and coffee stall. BB7 4BR

In second place is Chipping village toilets having been recently
refurbished and are close to the Cobbled Corner Cafe with its scones.

Finally, wait for it, the winner is Bolton by Bowland which is immaculate,
all the facilities you could ask for and located in a beautiful position
close to a river and a cake/coffee shop adjacent to the car park. BB7

For the gentlemen, the Downham toilets are interesting in that they
were clearly a pigsty before being renovated but most of the original
internal walls were left standing – one has to visit to appreciate the
       architecture!!

For those readers who don’t fancy walking around why not make a
day trip to visit these facilities and let me know what you think of our
       beautiful County.

PS I cannot be sure that the cafés listed above have survived the
pandemic as the are all currently closed.
