donations which will be collected regularly and
taken to a distribution centre.
Items needed are:-

Milk (UHT or powdered) Instant mashed potato
Sugar (500g)
Fruit juice (long life carton) Rice/Pasta
Soup, Cereals Tinned meat/fish
Pasta sauces Tinned vegetables
Sponge pudding (tinned) Tinned fruit
Jam
Tomatoes (tinned) Biscuits / Snack bars
Rice pudding (tinned)
Tea bags/Instant coffee also soap, toothpaste & toilet rolls

GRAVE CANDLES
Weather-proof grave candles are available, priced £4 each. Many families place
them on family graves at Christmas, Easter, Anniversaries, Birthdays etc. The
candles are red and burn for 4-5 days. Candles are available from the vestry on a
Sunday morning throughout the year.

Items for the Parish Magazine
This magazine is produced and circulated for the information of everyone in
Newton, Clifton and Salwick. We endeavour to include information and items which
are of interest to everyone. If you, or your organisation have any information, news
items, or events for our diary, which you would like to tell the parish, please contact
the editor.
Could we please remind contributors when submitting copy that it will always
appear in the following month’s magazine unless you state otherwise. If you have
a future event do please submit it at least one month in advance. Unless otherwise
stated, we reserve the right to modify text to reflect past, present or future tense.
Magazine Copy Deadline
Would all contributors please submit copy for the magazine to the
editor by 10th day of the month preceding publication.
