message
This year’s publication of Celebrating Our Donors carries a special message of thanks to our Padua Franciscan family as we come together on campus to begin the 2020-2021 school year. We are not only celebrating our donors, but also our faculty and staff, our students and their parents, our alumni and our friends, for being strong and resilient throughout the COVID-19 crisis. I’m especially proud of our graduating seniors, the Class of 2020, as they learned flexibility in a very different end-of- year experience. Everyone came together in solidarity, adjusting their daily lives as necessary, while maintaining their commitment to Padua. In this issue, you will read about donors who are making a difference through their support of our Padua and our students.
We will kick off the Franciscan Fund on October 1, during our 24-hour day of giving, Bruins Big Give. The Franciscan Fund, the backbone of financial support to the school, has surpassed the $400,000 mark, well on its way to the next milestone goal of $500,000. Our virtual Bruin Benefit Celebrazione was an amazing success through your support of more than $243,000, all from the comfort of your homes. Gifts and bequests to the Endowment Trust provide long-term financial support. All of this is a testament to the loyalty of our Padua family, even in times of uncertainty.
We have received much strength from the Lord this past year and we are thankful for all God’s gifts. Let’s also remember to thank those who touch our lives so that we can grow in Holiness and Learning, the ultimate goal of all of our efforts. Thank you for your support and belief in our Padua Franciscan mission. Let us continue to pray for one another in these challenging times!
