Semester 1/2 Credit Grades 11, 12
This course is designed to familiarize the student with the functions of finance. Concepts examined include: financial management, financial markets, financial institutions, financial analysis and forecasting, personal financial literacy, and investments. Students will have the opportunity to work in small-group teams and consult with business professionals while they compete in an online stock market simulation.
ECONOMICS (179)
Semester 1/2 Credit Grades 11, 12
This course is intended to prepare the student for college economics. Basic Microeconomic and Macroeconomic concepts are covered. Topics include the nature of the economic system, a study of different economic systems, the law of supply and demand, the organization of markets and the structure and function of the national economy. Students become more aware of the economic forces that are shaping and will continue to shape their lives.
