PFPJ Increases Recycling at Padua
Padua’s Got
Padua Franciscans for Peace & Justice, better known as PFPJ, is helping reduce the school’s carbon footprint. They purchased six recycle bins (for plastic and aluminum cans) which were placed throughout the building. Students, faculty and guests have been utilizing these containers for several months. PFPJ collected six 32-gallon bags full of recyclables during the last few weeks of school.
Additionally, PFPJ purchased K-Cup recycling containers, which are stationed throughout the building near all Keurig machines. After three rounds of processing, PFPJ recycled approximately 50 pounds of recyclable plastic and foil, along with 80 pounds of compostable coffee grounds. Several employees used the com- post material in their gardens.
PFPJ is grateful to everyone who is helping the Padua community continue to be responsible stewards of our precious Mother Earth.
