Four Employees Retire
After Decades of Service
Several beloved teachers and staff members retired over the summer of 2018, after many years of service to our students. We celebrated their decades of dedication, hard work and commitment to the Padua community in June 2018.

 Fr. Walter Dolan,
Former President,
Passes Away at 84
 With heavy hearts we share that Fr. Walter Dolan, OFM, Padua’s former president, passed away on Sunday, May
6, 2018 at age 84. He served
as Padua’s president for nine years (from 1994 to 2003) and continued his ministry at Padua until 2006. He was also well known and very active while serving in the Diocese of Cleveland. His funeral services were held in Wisconsin.
Padua will honor his life of Franciscan service by holding a memorial Mass at a later date. If you wish to make a donation in his honor, contributions can be made to the Padua Franciscan Endowment Fund (memo Walter L. Dolan, ofm Fund).
Padua Teacher of the Year 2018 Announced
The winner of the St. Anthony Award for Teaching Excellence for 2018 is Spanish teacher Mrs. Melissa Kinzie.
Each year the St. Bonaventure Chapter of National Honor Society presents the
St. Anthony Award for Teaching Excellence.
The St. Anthony Award is given annually to the Padua teacher who, in the eyes of
the departing senior
National Honor
Society class, has
best fostered intellectual rigor and
academic excellence, while also modeling the values
of character, service, and leadership to students. The teacher shall have made a lasting impact to the growth of young people not only as scholars, but as human beings.
